I recently had a vision board session with my girlfriends and noticed the importance of sharing your goals out loud. For this reason, I am sharing my goals on this blog and putting what I want to achieve in 2023 out in the open.
Feel free to share your goals with me in the comment section or via DM. This is the year of acting like we already have what we want.

Marathon
I hope to continue my marathon era in 2023. I did my first Nairobi StanChart marathon last year and really enjoyed it. I loved the idea of training towards something and keeping myself accountable every single week. This year I hope to do the Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town and of course the StanChart Marathon in October.
I already booked my Cape Town flights and accommodations and cannot wait. I will be using the Nike Run Club app again for my training and cannot wait to share my detailed blogspot reviews once I am in Cape Town. I will be sharing hotel, restaurant, flight and tourist recommendations.
My goal is to finish the half marathon in 2 hours and the full marathon in 4hrs 15min. I hope to share a 2023 recap at the end of the year so please stay tuned.
Blogging
My second 2023 goal is to work on this blog. I feel like I have moments where I feel like no one is reading my blog and suddenly abandon it. This year I will ensure I post every single week. I have even set time on my calendar and dedicated a session to write a blog post each week.
I hope to make Sunday my posting time. I need to let go of feeling cringe or embarrassed for posting my content. I truly enjoy reading reviews especially books so I do not understand why I overthink posting and sharing my thoughts? I need to remember Sza’s words: “ur fear of looking stupid is holding u back!”
I also hope to work with a brand for a potential brand partnership in 2023. This will only happen if I ensure I post every week. Long story short, prepare to be sick of me this year.
Reading 52 Books
I love reading and my ideal night time routine includes the presence of a book. In 2022, I read 65 books and shared a recap here. I managed to read all these books because I dedicated time to my hobbies. In 2023, I hope to read 52 books (one book every week) and share a monthly recap on my blog.
I have a feeling that this will be my year if I truly put in the work.
