Hello everyone! Can you believe April is approaching and I have managed to post every single Sunday this year!!! I love that I am dedicating time every Sunday to write on my blog. It feels so good to be consistent with my blog posts.
I thought I would share all the current songs I have heard on repeat this month. Sharing these songs reminds me of my college radio days. For those who are unaware, I used to have a college rock radio show called Fossa. RIP, she is forever missed everyday. Yes, I named my show after the song Fossa by Boston Manor because I was obsessed.
Let’s get into my favourite songs at the moment.
With Confidence Self-Titled Album
I have been listening to With Confidence a lot. The Australian pop-punk band recently announced their breakup and I have been listening to them lately. I think it’s mostly linked to FOMO. I discovered With Confidence back in 2016 when they released their debut album, Better Weather, and opened for State Champs. They also opened for Movements, another favourite pop-punk band for me. I have been loving their last album especially the songs Atlanta, Know You (708), Baked and Paper. So good! I wish I could see them perform these songs. Hoping for a reunion 5 years later like Casey did.
Look at 2016 me recommending everyone on my Snapchat to listen to their debut album. AHH, life was so good. 😭🥲
On Call by Kings of Leon
I was watching Tell Me Lies last week and this song by Kings of Leon came on and I absolutely lost it. I know Sex on Fire is the band’s popular song but this song is the one. The intro, the bridge, the lyrics and the music video. Perfection. Definitely on repeat.
Jolie by Khaid
I have been trying to use my Spotify radio feature if I want to discover new Afrobeats songs. My experience with this feature has been terrible to be honest because they always recommend all the songs I already know and already in my playlist so I am confused how I am meant to discover new songs? Anyways, this time the feature was a hit when they recommended Jolie by Khaid.
I recommend using the Ayra Star Spotify radio if you want to discover some great Afrobeats songs. I discovered this song through the radio and love it so much. If you enjoy Afrobeats, give this a listen.
Let me know if you have any music recommendations similar to the ones I currently love. I am always looking for new music especially for my long runs.
