Yikes! Have I truly abandoned this blog? Despite promising in my previous post that I would be back to posting every Sunday, my surgery really disrupted my healthy routine, which included regular workouts, eating healthy, reading books, and writing blog posts.
Being in Stockholm, Sweden made me want to explore more and get to know the city, which led to the blog being deprioritized. The good news is that I now feel ready to get back into it. I recently completed a half marathon in the Arctic Circle—more on that soon! I have so much blog content coming your way!!!
With that being said, let’s get into my camera roll. If you are new here, I dedicate this post to sharing what I captured each month. This month, it’s mostly Sweden-related because I have concluded that Stockholm is now my favorite European city. Let’s get into it.
Sweden! 🇸🇪
It has taken me a while to get into the groove of blogging every Sunday, but long story short: I love Stockholm! What’s not to love? The Swedish summer is perfect, and public transportation is very accessible. I started using ClassPass and have access to several fitness classes across the city.
I’ve taken Yogalates, Pilates, and Barry’s. I might do an in-depth review of my experience with Barry’s class. I have also taken so many wonderful photos and cannot wait to share my super detailed guide to Stockholm!
New Youtube Video
Also, who is she? I finally uploaded a new YouTube video after almost six months. In the video, I share my in-depth 4C natural hair routine and my current makeup products. I have so much content planned for the coming months, and I hope to dedicate time to edit the videos for you all to enjoy and for myself to have a visual digital memory of what I’ve been loving lately.
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics
I went to the Åhléns store and had to snap this picture of the Bobbi Brown area. Why? Because after trying several beauty products during my early adulthood, I always conclude that Bobbi Brown is my favorite makeup brand. The first foundation I ever purchased was the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick, and to this day, it’s my holy grail. If you have dark skin and are looking for the perfect everyday foundation, give the brand a try. Another holy grail from Bobbi Brown is their Crushed Lip Colour Lipstick in Blackberry—it’s the best lipstick for everyday natural makeup.
Kånken Bags
I have never seen so many Kanken bags everywhere I turn. I own a yellow Kanken bag that’s about four years old, but I messed it up by using a brush to wash it, and now it’s pretty much fading. Kanken is a Swedish brand, and boy, are the Swedes proud of it. Most people, from kids to teenagers, adults, and even grown men in suits, had a Kanken item. I have never seen a clothing item cut across so many demographic groups.
New Running PR
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I recently went to the Arctic Circle to run a marathon. This was my last run before the race, and I was truly shocked by my average pace. It is my fastest average PR, and I hope I can maintain it in the future. I think what triggered this PR was trying a new running route in the evening. Everything felt unfamiliar, and with few people on the road, I was sprinting the entire time.
Avicii Museum
I also went to the Avicii Museum, and I believe it is the best immersive museum experience I have ever attended. If you love Avicii, be sure to visit to gain insight into his musical journey. I particularly loved that the museum created replicas of many locations from Avicii’s real life, including his childhood bedroom and the place where he produced his music in the Californian desert.
Inside Out 2
I finally watched Inside Out 2, and wow!!! Just wow—what an amazing animated movie. I think it’s even better than the first one. It explains emotions to everyday people, even those without a psychology background, in such a fantastic way. I would highly recommend it. Spoiler alert: You might cry because of how cute Envy is! Ayo Edebiri voices Envy, and can we agree that she absolutely nailed it? Give it a watch here! That’s just me stopping my gushing!
2024 Goodreads Goal
Lastly, I’m almost catching up with my Goodreads goal. I was nearly six books behind but will try my best to read two books every week. Stay tuned for all the detailed book reviews because I miss writing them.
That’s it for now—see you all next Sunday!
Thanks for reading!!!
