Happy last Sunday of the month! I recently retouched my butterfly locs and decided to share a little hair vlog on Youtube showing my experience. I would recommend watching the video to get a visual understanding of the process.
It took me less than 2 hours to get my locs retouched. Sharing the main steps that I went through:
1. Washing the hair
This is important because I did not wash my hair after my last retouch. If I choose to wash them it would take me hours for them to dry as they are heavy and I do not own a drier. The hairdresser also treated my hair to ensure my hair is ready for the retouch
2. Drying the hair
I had to go inside a dryer for roughly half an hour to ensure that my hair is dry and ready for the retouch
3. Retouching
This is the final and most important step. The hairdresser simply used new braids to retouch the locs. I would recommend watching my video to see how she did it!
I would love to do more 4C Hair vlogs and blog posts. Let me know if this is something of interest. I also hope to publish my January reading recap on Wednesday.
