It seems that after every two years, I always get an additional nose piercing. Last piercing I got was a nose ring and now I have a septum piercing. Like my nose ring, this was so impromptu and not planned.
How Did We End Up Here
I was with my friend in Williamsburg and decided to walk around while looking at thrifted clothes. Next to the thrift stall, we noticed a piercing studio called Live By The Sword Tattoo having discounts. I love a good deal and thought why not. I never planned on getting a septum piercing any time soon or ever but could not resist a good deal.
Septum Piercing Review at Live By The Sword Tattoo
Before anything, I had to show my COVID Certificate to show that I am vaccinated. I also had to show my ID to show that I am above 18. Once everything was set, I used their studio ipad to book an appointment with the details sent to my email. You must also sign a waiver form.
I waited for roughly 30 minutes as there was a long queue and it was my turn. I was so nervous because I expected the septum piercing to be more painful and it was!! The pain just lasted a few seconds and I had tears instantly flowing but this is a natural response. I was fine after the piercing was placed and felt no pain.
After 24 hours, I was feeling normal but I had to wipe my face slowly because one touch around my septum was so painful as it was sensitive.
Amber Maysonet did my septum piercing and I would highly recommend her! My septum piercing was not wonky and centred well. This was my main concern. The studio is also very clean and I thought that the staff was very warm and welcoming.
If you are ever in Williamsburg and looking for a piercing studio, I would recommend Live By The Sword Tattoo. It costs $50 to get one.
